The 2023 Retreat: June 2-June 6
We are delighted to invite you to join us for a generative workshop with Chelsea B. DesAutels.
Chelsea is the author of A Dangerous Place (Sarabande Books, 2021), named a New York Times Editors’ Choice. Her work appears in Adroit Journal, Copper Nickel, Massachusetts Review, Ploughshares, and elsewhere, and was featured by U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón on The Slowdown podcast.
Winner of the 2020 Jeffrey E. Smith Editors’ Prize from the Missouri Review, Chelsea has received support from the Anderson Center at Tower View, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Inprint, and Tin House Summer Workshop, among others.
She lives with her family in Minneapolis, and is the founder of Freshwater Writing.
As well, so you know, Chelsea is an exemplary workshop leader. She will lead you to the deeper waters.
You will be glad you came.
Please do take a moment to read about the nature of our generative workshops.
We have missed seeing the fledgling eagle fly safely from tree to tree while we contemplate the meaning and importance of the written world; listening to the sound of the sea behind a poem. We are excited to begin again.
Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
